The best cold treat in town. Everything is always really great, and the availability of flavors is always impressive. The creamery is great and all, but it's very heavy and filling, not so with the Italian Ice at Rita's.

I love Rita's! Dispite this location taking over a beloved local record shop they (sorta) make up for it with their amazing treats. I make a point to come here when I visit my parents. There are always new flavors to try and the staff is great. The line sometimes gets long, but well worth it. Cons are they they don't have their punch card anymore and they also close in the winter which is lame.

I am giving this a 3 star rating because it is "A-OK" It is nothing special in my opinion, I like their seasonal flavor "key lime" and made a point to sign up for the email alert that would alert me when the flavor was in store. They have custard ice cream which is different than the other ice cream offered locally (penn state creamery and meyer dairy) If you are in to italian ice this will probably be more a hit with you, it just isnt exactly my cup of tea.

You would think somebody would open a specialty water ice shop, however none come close. When it's hot outside and you don't want something heavy like ice cream then go down the Rita's and get the best juicy experience of your life. Whether it's in State College or in Philadelphia Rita's water ice is just the best water ice around.

Best Spring/Summer treat ever! I definitely love the Blendini with wafers, mango ice and vanilla custard. There's a place near my home on the West Coast that has the similar idea, but it just isn't the same!

My little reminder of summers back home in Philly, this is pretty much the ONLY place to get good water ice (or Italian Ice, as some prefer to call it) in this area. Perfect for when you need a sugar-induced coma to help you walk off those winter blues.

SOO DELICIOUS!! my favorite is the mango ice with vanilla yogurt. the only sad thing is, this place is only open during the warm months :(
